

Gary traveled extensively overseas during his time at Nelson and Bosch and lived in Shanghai from 2003 to 2006. Nelson was purchased by the Bosch Company, who employed Gary as the Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations until his retirement in December, 2014.

For the last several years at Nelson, he was President of Nelson-Asia. Nelson, where he worked for the next 25 years.

During this time, Gary also worked at WABCO-American Standard, where he was promoted to General Foreman. as a teacher and eventually as director of social services until 1975. In 1990, Gary completed his MBA at Bradley University. He continued his education at the University of Illinois, Champaign, earning his MSW. After graduating from Springfield High School in 1967, Gary attended Bradley University, where he graduated with Honors in 1971 and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He was the son of Victor and Louise Remscheid Bartholomew and married Denise Crouch on Jat Prospect United Methodist Church in Dunlap, Illinois. Gary, known as Bart to many friends and family, was born Apin Springfield, Illinois. Gary Lee Bartholomew, 68 years of age, peacefully departed this life with his family by his side on July 19th, 2017 at 5:00 pm after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Atwood of Charleston, SC six brothers two sisters two brother-in-laws two sister-in-laws, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mark was a former owner of the Cracked Crock Tavern, and for thirty years, he was a master carpenter responsible for many building projects in Springfield as well as across the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Aleasa Dawn Atwood. Mark Atwood, 69, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday Apat his residence. He retired after 25 years of service from the State of Illinois where he was a Microfilm Operator. He enjoyed watching the Cubs and NASCAR, gardening, flowers and taking care of his cat and fish. Keith was a member of the Eagles Club for many years. He is survived by his two daughters, Diana Hayes of Springfield, and Stephanie Coffey of Columbus, Ohio three sons: Kent Adams of Springfield, Matt (Luann) Adams of Pawnee, and Brad Adams of Springfield several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one brother, Kenneth (Sandy) Anderson of Springfield. He was born June 11, 1949, in Taylorville, to Maynard and Eleanor King Anderson they preceded him in death.Īlso preceding him in death were his fiancée, Nina Lawson in 2014 one brother, Kevin Anderson and one sister, Sue Anderson. Keith Dean Anderson, 67, of Springfield, died at 1:25 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2016, at Meadow Manor in Taylorville. There’s nothing like a bit of jazz, blues, trap and R&B – with that one line dance that everyone knows – to bring family and friends together. Whether we’re listening to Bobby “Blue” Bland, Chaka Khan, Jay Z or Bob Marley, the nostalgia of these artists has been able to bridge the gap between the young and old in my family. As fall approaches and I begin to plan my family’s end of summer cookout, I’m reminded that music has been an essential part of holding our family unit together.
